New Year, New Hair

I love the salon in Lancaster that I normally go to, but since I was home and desperately needing a trim, I decided to try a new place. I checked with three salons and all of them had no walk-in openings. I went to the mall in Allentown finally and found a nice, non-shady looking place.

While there, I got highlights, a cut, and a sex change. I say this because I look like a boy now. It reminds me of when I got my haircut in 7th grade by this man who literally did the nearly shaved look while showing me his Barbie collection in his front window of the store...right before my 7th grade class picture, which I think I burned since then.
I mean this cut isn't that bad...it just blows my mind how you tell them what you want (length, style, side bangs) and they seem to just do what they want instead. So after a 10 minute discussion about having side bangs only on the side and not sweeping across my entire forehead, I got the bangs that sweep across my entire forehead. My highlights are nice though- light blond and summery. I'm not really that unhappy with it...just shocked that no one ever seems to adhere to my preferences for my hair style. She also said it would be chin length and it is not as long as my chin. Hair grows, so I'm not too worried.

It looks okay now-but it will be interesting when I wake up in the morning and try to do it sans all the fancy tools and serums.
