Gym Membership

Today I bought my first gym membership. I had been wanting to do this for awhile now, since I don't go to Millersville's gym anymore. The gym is walking distance from my apartment, so I set out in the freezing rain to pay $316.00 to get my butt back in shape. I mostly need to work on cardio and some lifting, and I'll keep doing pilates at home. When I arrived at the center, I looked like a drowned rat, wet hair from the rain, purple fingers, bright red face, no makeup, and somewhat of bed-head. The first thing the girl at the desk says to me is "ok, we'll need to take your picture for an ID card." Faaaabbbbulous! I looked so picture-worthy! So no one look at my gym ID card...EVER.

I liked the facility. It's always kind of intimidating going to a new place. I worked out so much in college all four years and got used to that gym. I also miss having a workout buddy (my sister or Katie) and cute eye candy to motivate me (James) and various MU baseball and football hunks with well defined muscles. At this gym there are three types of people: high school students (weird for me), older women (they make me feel more at ease), and creepers in sweat suits.

Hopefully, I will feel healthier and have a nicer bod, and maybe some new friends (the older women category listed above). I'm glad I went.

i love love love the fact that you feel at ease with older women. Like you fit in better with them. HAHA

also, I laughed out loud about your pic. I can just imagine it. But good thing is that now when you look at it you'll feel like you've come a lot further just cause of a bad pic.
