My First Utterly Embarassing Teaching Moment

I flashed my students. This sounds awful...and was definitely unintentional. Yet, it happened.

I will try to explain it but it happened so quickly. I was bent over leaning forward reaching under my desk to get some treats for my students. I wore a knee length big poofy skirt today. My skirt got caught in my ID lanyard around my neck and I didn't notice it when I whipped myself up holding the treats. I didn't even feel it. The skirt was so far up it was up around my chest. The ONLY way I knew was because in one instant my students' jaws all dropped open and they gasped. One girl pointed- and yelled: Miss! Your dress is up!
I just about died. I had to compose myself and still manage to teach through that class and the next one which had 3 of the same students in it. Of course, they told everyone else. I am pretty sure they saw from my belly button down.

I don't recommend doing this, no matter how well you want your students to get to know you. I think I took it too far.

This is also why I am going to bed at 9 Pm instead of my usual 11 PM...just one of those days.
