There are so many songs that remind me of people. It is so weird that you can listen to a song and it will take you right back to that moment when it was popular and it usually reminds you of someone. It also slightly amazes me that you can listen to a song for the first time in 10 years and remember every word of the song. What if I would rather use this brain space for something better/more productive like the facts I need to know for a quiz or some more interesting grammar rules. Anyway, just for fun, I thought I would write down the names of some of the songs that remind me of people. You may not know anyone on the list, but if nothing else, maybe I will get a great song! stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Also, you should know that I don't know the real names of most songs.
1. "Drowning" Backstreet Boys- Dancing with Ed McGinley at the winter semi-formal (10th grade) holy crap this was so exciting!!!
2. "Apple Bottom Jeans"- My mom
3. "Thong Song" Sisqo- reminds me of Corey in 8th grade. Flirting era.
4. "Crazy" Gnarls Barkley- Corey II. This time our roadtrip to Alabama- 2006 when we fell in love "for real".
5. "Wide Open Spaces" -Dixie Chicks- my dad. He got the CD stuck in my car's CD player (it is still broken years later)
6. "Sexy Back"- JT-when I actually drove. And I thought I was so hot behind the wheel with those crazy bug-like sunglasses (college jr. year)
7. "Vindicated" Dashboard Confessional- Katie Dekis- roomies soph. year when we made up a ballet dance to this song in the dorms.
8. "Collide" Howie Day- Chris Ventura. yikes!
9. "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" - this was my cell ringtone for most of college. It got sooo annoying.
10. "When 2 become 1" Spice Girls- John Scarangello...one of my first dates in 6th grade. I was in my chubby stage and wearing bike shorts and a man's Nike shirt in the back of his mom's jeep on the way to the movie theater. I had matching blue nail polish and enormous round glasses.
11. "S.O.S" Jonas Brothers- my fav. student Gabriela and her obsession for Joe Jonas.
12. "Banana Pancakes" Jack Johnson- Earl. The coolest teacher in the world.
13. "Graduation" Vitamin C -8th grade graduation when we all sobbed our eyes out because we were emotional to move to the school 5 minutes away and spend 4 more years together.
14. "Bump, Bump, Bump" B2K- Stefan..the amusement of dating someone in ESL when I was in high school. I asked for John Mayer's CD for Christmas and he thought B2K was what I meant.
15. "Will you be there" (Free Willy Song) Michael Jackson - Trish...and I have no idea why.
So I wonder (not to sound vain) but I just wonder if any songs make people think of me and if so which songs. I wonder if anyone from middle school/hs/college hears a song and is reminded of me. Hmmm...

For you it'd be "life without god's love is like a donut, like a donut, like a donut. Life without god's love is like a donut, cause there's a hole in the middle of your heart". because you guys always had the donutman movies and i was always jealous.

Another one that makes me think of you is the song with "And I don't want the world to see me, cause I don't think that they'd understand..." from riding the Music Express at the boardwalk during Girl's Week.
And wow- you have a good memory! Donut man! :) Were we seriously thinking that CA raisins was a good idea? It was probably mine since it is so weird. I remember walking around my driveway in a specific circle pattern.
