Lately, I have been good at doing one thing: wasting time. I have a million things to do, yet when I have some free time, I spend it relaxing or wasting time. Example: I have many papers to file in my classroom and portfolios to put together. Today we don't have students- meetings and such, but this afternoon I have an hour of free time. I can't leave until 3:00, so I am essentially being held hostage here. This should force me to do my work. False. I blog instead. And listen to iTunes. And drink 2 diet Cokes. And call my dad. Then my boyfriend. Then color code my calendar. Check my mailbox in the school office 3 times. Then read poetry. Is it 3:00 yet? Nope. 45 minutes.
It is very good that I have a job where I am held to a strict schedule, because if I were self employed, my business would die.
